Red Ensign: My Flag on Flag Day

It has been declared that today is Flag Day. So, here we go.
I salute the Red Ensign, my flag (and I don't beat up on welfare recipients while doing it, Jean!).
God save the Queen!

  • I didn't know that republicans frequented this blog. SPQR, then?

    I am not sure that's allowed! (-;

  • Typical monarchist, stifling us little people.

  • I am afraid that is just not so, my friend. It was the former PM, the guy with the golf balls, who also mused about Canada becoming a republic, the one that beat up on "the little people" (on the first "flag day" too). I don't know that there has been a Monarch of ours, or member of the Royal Family, who ever grabbed a downtrodden subject by the neck and threw him/her to the ground. Royalty does not do that kind of thing (anymore)!

  • Then I return to my initial posting. My flag has neither leaf nor St. George's cross.
